Hip Surgery caused Foot Drop

Hello, my name is Shirley. I’m from England and I live in Norfolk but we are in Westminster in London as we speak today. I’ve been wearing a Step-Smart since um a hip operation that uh where I had nerve damage as a result of a damaged sciatic nerve and as a result of that I have foot drop. I have had three other foot braces including this one that was given to me through our National Health Service. I really found I couldn’t wear it for a start there was no flexibility to it and it meant that I had to have an extra sized shoe and it felt so awkward to wear that I didn’t wear it for very long at all. I’ve had a Step-Smart now for I think it’s 18 months. I’ve been really really pleased with it, particularly in relation to the heels of the ankle which gives a much more normal way of walking and quite honestly, I wouldn’t be without it now.
