Elaine Compares Her Carbon Fiber Brace with Step-Smart Brace for Drop Foot

Hi, it’s Ian, I’m with Elaine. Elaine comes from Massachusetts to see us. She came with a carbon graphite design that was a little stiff for you…is that fair to say. Yup, yup. 

She ordered the Step-Smart with the guided calf section, which really wasn’t necessary as it turns out. Yup. The guide is for somebody with inversion, and she’s got enough tissue behind her tibia, so she doesn’t need the longer calf section for comfort. So, she has a standard calf section now and she ended up with the extra small foot section which sits better inside the shoe, yeah, yup. You have a size seven shoe? Yes, size seven shoe. And the extra small foot section is for her.

Making a transition from an awkward, difficult brace to something much slimer, trimmer, and easier to function in. it was a wise decision to come, a wise decision to pick these braces. They’re great!
