In this week’s vblog, we take you to an indoor tennis facility where one of our drop foot patients happily wears, what she calls, the best drop foot brace on the market. With the Step-Smart brace for drop foot, she is able to play tennis and live an active life. See her play tennis in this video.

Welcome back to ‘Foot of the Week’. Ian here from Insightful Products. We’re here with Sheila Jepson. She has a Step Smart brace that she’s been using for quite a while, and she prefers it for playing tennis because it allows her the lateral motion that she needs.
“How’s it been going?”
“It’s great! it keeps me on the court. I’ve been playing for, I think the past 4 years since I got this brace I’ve been playing competitively and having a good time.”
“Oh, that’s great. Yeah. Now you’ve had other braces before is that right?”
“I did, yeah. I had a what I call kind of a clunky AFO, and it just didn’t give me the mobility I needed on the court. Also, in terms of the feel of my foot, I really couldn’t feel my foot because it was a hard plastic bottom that my foot was standing on. So, it worked but it just isn’t comfortable, and it doesn’t give me the mobility I need to move around the court. “
“Well, have fun today and we look forward to seeing you play. Thank you for your time. “
“Alright.”
Thanks for joining us for ‘Foot of the Week’. We’ll see you next week.
