“Hi, my name is Willie Stewart. The reason I’m speaking to you right now is that years ago, I was involved in a serious accident. What happened was, I was running track and I hyperextended my knee and snapped a nerve that went to lift my foot. What I ended up with is something called Foot Drop, which means I can’t lift my left leg. Before that, I was always active – a track runner, motorcycle rider, as you can see. I had a very active life in sports, football, and things like that. After the injury, I mean it pretty much took everything away. I mean I couldn’t ride a motorcycle again because you can’t shift the gears unless you can lift your foot. If I was running or doing anything else, I mean it was just done, I mean. And as far as even walking normal it was over. It was kind of a dead end for me.
